Privacy Policy

Roam Radar (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a free, independent tool dedicated to helping Canadian travelers compare international roaming coverage and prices. We are committed to transparency and collect only the absolute minimum information necessary to provide our service.

Email Address (Optional)

You do not need to provide any personal information to use our map or search functions. If you choose to subscribe to carrier update notifications, we collect your email address entirely voluntarily. We use it solely to send the notifications you requested and will never sell, rent, or share it for marketing purposes. Our email communications comply with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use a privacy-focused analytics service to understand aggregate usage patterns. It does not set cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. It records anonymized data such as page views and general geographic region (country-level only).

Cookies & Local Storage

Roam Radar does not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers. We may store a small amount of data locally on your device for strictly necessary functionality. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

• To send the carrier update notifications you have subscribed to.
• To maintain and improve the service through aggregate usage insights.
• We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or resale.

We work with trusted service providers to host our tool and deliver updates:

• Infrastructure & Hosting: To provide a fast and secure experience.
• Email Delivery & Management: To reliably send our newsletter and notifications.
• Anonymous Analytics: To understand how the tool is used without identifying individuals.

To deliver our services, we use providers that may process data outside of Canada (primarily in the United States). We select partners with strong privacy commitments and ensure they maintain protection standards comparable to our own.

Some pages show a box marked “Sponsored” that links to a travel eSIM provider through an affiliate network. When you tap it, the link tells the network which Roam Radar page you came from, so a purchase can be credited. It never carries your email or any personal information. Once you leave Roam Radar, the network and the provider may use cookies under their own privacy policies.

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, or to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights or ask any questions, contact us at the address below.

Roam Radar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under this age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
